First things first… here’s hoping you had a wonderful holiday season and all is well with you and yours!
We also wanted to send a brief update to you regarding the progress of the Songwriter photojournalism project!
We’re wrapping up the last of the interviews and are now in production. The images look great and all of the interviews sound really awesome after translation into text.
We’re still extremely excited about the project and are now shopping publishers in order to obtain the best possible scenario for marketing and public relations to benefit everyone involved.
Also, we’ve been working on putting galleries onto my website so everyone can take a look at some of the sample photographs from the sessions. As soon as that’s updated, we’ll let you know.
We’ve already got some great ones within the “Main portfolio>Music Portraits” section of my site so check it out at ricksmithphotography.com. As a reminder, there’s a Songwriter Project gallery on my site that requires a password. Songwriters please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to request the password. It contains some of the work you may or may not have seen yet and will be updated soon with more of the rough spreads of the book layout so be sure to look for more to come.
We’ll send more updates soon and keep them coming as we continue to move forward and work on completion of the final product.
Thanks again for being a part of it all. Everyone involved has been so generous and that’s a lot to be thankful for as we all look ahead to a new year full of creativity in Music City USA!
Here’s wishing you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR and all the best in 2011! Like Matt Urmy says: “It’s a Music City Renaissance!” And we’re glad to be a part of it with all of you!
